Β‘QuiΓΊbole, carnales! My name is Profe ZacarΓas (or Professor Zach, but that sounds way too white). Welcome to Spanish With A Gringo, the Spanish tutoring company I started in February of 2020. My nerdy passion for language comes from my high school Spanish teacher whose combination of tongue-twisters and Mexican dad jokes made for a highly infectious learning environment. I have been tutoring Spanish for the better part of six years and it was such a rewarding experience that I decided to make it my full time job!
In terms of my qualifications, I graduated in 2021 from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Culture and a minor in Business Administration. Recently, I obtained a graduate certificate in Business Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well.
The past two years in a row, I have been recognized by Lessons.com, Tutors.com and HeyTutor for my outstanding service. And finally, I have a Superior Rating with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
Though originally from Boston (go Celtics!), I grew up mainly in the greater Dallas area and I would describe myself as a strawberry enthusiast (if itβs not Driscolls, itβs not a strawberry), a night-sky admirer, and a steadfast believer that every Tuesday should be declared Taco Tuesday. When I'm not working, I can be found reading the classics, training for my next marathon, or rewatching Friends for the seventy-eighth time (in order, of course).

Β‘Pero, che! I was about to introduce in Spanish when I realized that Iβve been doing that since the day I was born. Thatβs right, my first language is Spanish, the one you have come here to learn. Donβt worry, though, I know how difficult it can be sometimes and thatβs why Iβm here to help!
My name is LucΓa, or Lu for short. Iβm from the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires. Iβm 20 years old and in my third year of studies at the National University of Buenos Aires (or UNICEN). My focus is on getting a Bachelorβs of Environmental Technology which is about as tough as it sounds. For the past three years I have been taking intense English classes and even though I still have plenty to learn, I didnβt need Zachβs help to write my bio! Iβm amazing, I know (*flips hair*).
While working with Spanish With A Gringo, I will be in charge of writing blog posts in Spanish and English each month. You may notice a distinct Argentinian flare in my Spanish writing; shhhhβ¦donβt tell Zach. I will also be working with Zach and Cindy to bring to life our new podcast named βUna Buena Noticiaβ. Hold on, Zach just texted. Gotta go!
